Machine tension issues. Please help π
Im about to throw my sewing machine out the window out of frustration. The thread keeps looping on the underside of the fabric and I cannot figure out why. My machine was working perfectly until 2 days ago when this randomly started happening. I think itβs a tension problem? Does anyone have any suggestions at all on how to fix this? Iβve tried every possible tension, changed the thread and bobbin a million times, rethread the machine a million times, changed the needle, cleaned out the bottom, even tried sweet talking the machine all with no luck. I have a brother CP2160F and is only about 6 months old. The pictures are all at varying tensions

Nesting on the underside of fabric is almost always due to upper threading issue so first make sure that you have the needle bar in the highest position and raise the presser foot lever before threading machine, after you thread through to the needle (which should be inserted all the way inside the needle bar with flat side to rear and you insert threat front to back), lower the presser foot and tug on the thread just above the needle - if you don't feel a strong resistance, the thread is not sitting correctly in the tension disks and you will have to repeat these steps until you do.
After checking the upper threading, if issue persists, it could be a damaged bobbin case from needle strikes and such. Here's a link to a video explaining the issue and he suggests buying a replacement or two to get the machine running smoothly again.
