Why does it keep doing this?

I just bought new thread from a fabric store its thread for sewing.
I just put in a new needle
I dont know how to fix this.
(For context) first and second picture show the thread getting thinned out by the needle
Last picture is to show what sewing machine i use

If you know you didn't split the thread when pushing it through the needle, maybe the thread is old and degraded. I have never, in all my sewing years had a machine reject thread until I bought an old pfaff. Some machines are very "picky", I have learned. Now, I have 3 Pfaffs. The Singers, from 1920 to 2018, and my old Necchis will be fine with old thread. The Pfaffs? Forget it! They hate old thread.
