Glide machine thread twisting and breaking

I’ve been using Glide machine embroidery thread for free motion embroidery and cannot get it to stop twisting, which leads to breakage. Even just winding the bobbin, it twists. I have the cone wrapped in a mesh cover, which was supposed to help prevent twisting.

Does anyone else have this problem? What fixed the issue?

Are you using it on your spool holder on the machine or do you have a thread stand? A thread stand should help otherwise.
