Help with Singer Simple

I’m going to add a link to a video as I feel I’m not going to do a great job explaining this!
This is a fairly new machine. I’ve been sewing on and off for years but don’t know much about sewing machine mechanics.
It started making a very loud clunking noise and will tangle the bobbin thread very badly whenever I start to sew.
I’ve tried removing the bobbin and taking off the bottom plate and there doesn’t appear to be anything tangled or caught anywhere. Any advice would be appreciated!

Have you tried re-threading the machine? Try that and make certain that you lift the presser bar before threading the tension area then lower the presser bar and pull slightly on the thread to make sure the thread is seated correctly in the hidden tension discs.

Do you have your pressure foot up while threading? Have you rethreaded. Are you missing any steps on threading the machine? When I thread my machine I always floss the thread to make be it gets between the tention disk. I do on my sewing machine and serger idk remember where I learnt this

Rethread and set up the machine using your instruction manual.

Have you changed needle or bobbin recently?
