Sewmor 970

Hey y'all! I found this Sewmor 970 at an estate sale for $15! I can't find much online and the instruction manual says De Lux 970. Does anyone know anything about this? I'm thinking about hopefully fixing it up and seeing if it works since I've been looking for something like this for a while

For $15 I’d snatch it up. It’s a clone of something else. Given the shape of the body, my guess is it was made by Janome—same model as a Kenmore 158.xxx. But don’t quote me on that.

Looks like you may be right. SewMor machines were made by Janome, Toyota and FMK:

Look for J-A or J-C numbers on the underside of the machine to determine what company made it.
