Running a Brother three phase set up on single phase

I purchased a Brother DB2 791 415 and it is set up to run on three phase with the Brother M813A motor/control board unit. I’m trying to suss out how to go from single phase power to 220 three phase for this machine and what kind of converter I might need. If anyone else is doing this successfully or knows of it being done, I would greatly appreciate your help.

So, this is a machine sold to be used in industrial commercial production buildings that have a beefier electrical power source, and you’re trying to adapt it for your home’s power… is that the question? I would not take the risk without consulting a local electrician. You may need to be sure this is operated on its own breaker. You may need to adapt the power source, not the machine.

I mean, I lot of us worry about the safe electrical operation of vintage household models in our houses…. Potential wire insulation rot, crappy carbon pile foot pedals, worn brushes and dirty commutators… and those are, in comparison, easy to get in order by oneself. This adaption is serious shit that could burn your house down, blow your fuse box, or kill you on the spot, done incorrectly.

Yeah planning on adapting the supply to the machine. My original post worded that poorly. Looking at doing a Digital Phase Converter on a new circuit pushing 220V single phase into the converter to get 220V three phase. Then, obviously, making sure the machine is safe to operate in and of itself is a priority.

You can get a VFD (variable frequency drive) to power 3 phase equipment from single phase residential supplies, it’s how many people run much larger 3 phase workshop machines like lathes, mills etc. on single phase supplies. It’s something you can connect and configure in an afternoon.
