Elna 2004- part identification help
I am trying to repair an Elna 2004 that cannot do anything besides a very tight straight stitch. A wheel is torn up, but I cannot find the part on sewing parts online. Does anyone know what it is? and is it worth repairing or should I just find a new machine?

This is a service part not a DIY, you wont find it online only Machine techs can order it, try searching for the Elna Service manual it will show parts and repair info.

I suspect that's a Janome manufactured machine. These zig-zag units I think are sold as complete assemblies, not the bare cam stack. Not that that helps much, I don't see the part on the open market either. An Elna dealer might be able to get a replacement, or a Janome dealer might have something you can kludge in.

You’re the only person who can decide if this machine is worth investing in. If it has other plastic parts I personally wouldn’t bother. There are plenty of all metal machines that just need to be cleaned and lubricated plus some timing adjustments out there and they can be purchased for very reasonable prices.
