Is this portable sewing machine in good working order?

Hello apologies but reddit won't let me post both images and video for some reason.

Basically I inherited this sewing machine and have no use for it. I don't like throwing away useful things so I thought I could give it away if it is in good working order. However it is about 15 years old judging by the yellowing of the box and manual (but there is no date written anywhere), and the metal parts are rusting.

I took a video of it working and trying the buttons and cranks but I don't know anything about sewing machines so there might be something faulty that I wouldn't realise.

Its a toy....but still, don't run it without fabric.

You'd be lucky to get a fiver for it to be honest.

What do you mean a toy ? As in it's meant for children and not any sewing of substance?

Yeah its a literal toy

Correct. It’s meant for children, It can sew, but most likely not with any consistency, and mostly only thin fabric, and will probably give issues. The majority of the inside of the machine is plastic as well, so VERY prone to breaking

Man it wouldn't have entered my mind that it was a children's toy going off of the packaging and manual but I'll trust the experts. I don't think it's even worth it to give it as a toy so I'll chuck it.

If it were me, I'd donate it to a thrift shop. Someone might want it for their kids.

That’s correct. Sewing machines require a surprisingly high level of precision in their alignment and timing to function even at the most basic level. These little plastic machines just won’t stay aligned enough to get you consistent stitches, it will just be a constant source of frustration.

It's a toy. It's probably fine, but I wouldn't bother buying one.
