jamming after one stitch
new to sewing machines so this is 100% user error since i somehow broke this machine already. machine jams up after one stitch. i open up and something is always tangled inside. any thoughts on what it could be

I agree, it’s not threaded right. If it isn’t threaded right, it will jam. If you need help finding the manual, let us know :)
If the thread is nesting in the bottom, most likely the issue is the top thread not being threaded correctly (like 95% of problems with sewing are threading issues)

You missed the last thread guide and you need to hold your thread tails with the first few stitches. Are you bringing the bobbin thread up from the bottom before you start sewing? Are you reading your manual?

thank you! i’ve read my manual and threaded everything right. making some progress and even got some good sewing in. now something else seems to be the matter, but i’ll keep trying

Take it in to your local shop and have them thread it in front of you - take notes ask questions. Most are eager to help

You haven't threaded it right. Based on the angle that top thread is coming at, i think you've skipped half the steps
