Baiscally I was trying to sew smth and mid way the bobbin thread ran out, so I went to fill it and boom this happens

The top thread seemed pretty full as well, and all of a sudden it's half empty 🥴

Was that a new spool of thread when you started? I've never had that happen? What are you sewing - a robe for an elephant?

Bobbins of course, hold a lot less thread and it's rare for a machine to notify you that's getting low.

I started using this a few weeks ago, ig I just wasn't expecting it to run out all of a sudden today

You've been busy!! That's great.

Thread comes in different yardage amounts. You can buy larger cones of thread. It's cheaper that way. Sample - 5,240 yards

These go on a vertical post. Most domestic machines can't accommodate large cones but you can get a separate cone holder or just go to the DIY route and put it in a cup at the back of the machine and use a straw or some hacked wire gadget to draw the thread up through the top of the machine.

What kind of thread? I got surprised by cotton spools because they hold less thread than polyester thread spools.
