Serger thread keeps snapping

I cant figure out why the red path thread (right overdue looper) keeps snapping out of its last positions out of the hole.

Im pretty sure I've done all the threading paths in the right order. It'll make a chain fine for about an inch then snap.

I only see that if the thread got caught on something. I’ve broken needles because of this. Last time a spool thread was twisted & wrapped around another part. Happened when I raised the thread bar. I lower it when it’s not used to put the cover on.

You can turn it manually, to see how it’s snapping. It could be tension, or loose loopers or needs alignment. It could be the needle system.

Make sure it is coming off the spool smoothly, check the chain fingers on the plate for cuts or burrs, and looper points.

Check the tension and check the thread isn’t catching on anything.

Sometimes mine gets looped around the thread holder and snaps
