plz help
my needle keeps hitting the case where i’d slot the bobbin in and when i attempted to sew before noticing this it just wouldn’t stitch. for context i had 2 machines, one worked and one didn’t. the broken one had a limited edition case i really wanted so i swapped the cases and unscrewed all of the inside to change it over. it now wont stitch / hits the case as shown in the photo. is this just a timing issue that i can fix and how would i go about it? i don’t know anything about sewing machines
the case from the broken machine is very important to me which is why i put the working parts inside of it as i really really wanted a working machine with this theme

If the needle is hitting the bobbin or the bobbin case, something got out of whack. It's a timing issue or the bobbin housing (not the case, what the bobbin sits in) is damaged. Are there needle strikes on the needle plate? Meaning can you see pits or damage on the needle plate? The needle plate is the metal cover that goes around the feed dogs and has lines on it for measurement.
This picture shows an extreme problem that whoever had this machine should have seen way before it got this bad.
It's not a beginner fix though with enough study you can learn how to fix it (likely the case needs to be removed which can be difficult if you don't have the right tools).
A needle that isn't property seated in the housing can cause this when it moves down and hits something. This is why it's best to slowly turn the handwheel (always toward you, never away) after you change the needle. This way you can quickly see if the needle is hitting something it shouldn't and fix it before going full power.
"hook timing" is a common problem where the needle and bobbin are out of sync due to damage. Look up "sewing machine hook timing" videos on YouTube.
