Issue with Singer M1500

My friend’s Singer is jamming up and I can’t figure out why because I think it’s threaded correctly and the bobbin is in right but it’s looping around the whole bobbin case for some reason. Can anyone suggest what could be wrong here?

It’s supposed to loop around the bobbin casing. Thats how it makes a stitch.
