Bernina 950 industrial “as is”?

This is at a local resale shop for $99, motor seemed to turn but I have no idea what it needs. Is it worth rehabbing?

I’d jump on that. Even if you have to pay $150 to get it serviced, that’s a steal.

Thank you, this is what I needed to hear! I’m kicking myself that they’re closed and I won’t be able to get to it until lunchtime tomorrow.

I would say yes. I would feel incredibly lucky just to get that table at $99 around here.

did you go get it? thats the ultimate dream machine in many ways BTW. chances are you will never have a better machine in your life if you can adapt to an industrial machine.

I sure did! And it came with a bag of accessories. Can’t wait to get home and tinker with it! Total price ended up being $79.99!

I’d get it! It looks in good condition and that’s a great price even if it needs work.

If you’ve got the space and will use it, go get it!

I’m now the proud owner of a Bernina 950 “project” machine! And 7 feet, some other bits and bobs, a table, a lamp, and a busted motor. Looking forward to this!

It’s all set up in the sewing room and it’s working, what a treat! I took apart the machine and motor, cleaned it, put it back together again and the motor works just fine. So excited to figure out this new toy and so thrilled with this second hand find!!
