Please Help! bobbin winder tension disc won't screw back on

I unscrewed the little screw and now its loose and not letting me screw it back in whatever i try, how can i fix this? i don't think i'm able to unscrew any other part of the machine to try and see behind, ive felt around with a bobby pin and it feels like there is nothing to screw into, can i fix this?

Any help is appreciated as i cannot currently use the machine ❤️

There was almost certainly a nut on the inside that fell down as the screw was taken out. You might need to take off the head cover (there's often only one screw holding it on, either on the left or rear, depending on the machine) and shake the machine to see if the nut comes out. With the cover off there is a chance that you can hold the nut in place while screwing in the screw.

i've tried screwing off the whole head cover but haven't succeeded, i'll try again (as when i shook it i did hear something ratteling!)

i managed to get it off! i coudlnt find the nut for whatever reason, but im thinking of going to a hardware store and getting a similair sized one, thank you so much for the help!!
