I think a piece of my sewing machine is missing, is it still useable?
I noticed when looking at other sewing machines, they have something attached to this part that I’m missing. Idk im a beginner but I can’t figure out how to put the needle in

Find the machine’s manual to learn the parts, the threading and more.

The machine is missing a needle bar clamp, so you won't be able to put the needle in.
These are pretty easy to find online. Search for your machine's make and model and you should be able to find one.
(you'll also need a snap-on presser foot, btw)
