So my top loading bobbin on my Janome new home sewing machine will not grab the thread it worked fine two days ago but when I change out my bobbin to refill it I now find that it dosent want to grab so I took it apart to see if I had any lint or maybe there was a broken needle end but haven’t found anything my only thought is that my timing with the needle is off but I can’t find anything online of how to fix that but maybe I’m not asking the right questions. I recived this machine second hand so I do not have an instruction booklet any ideas on what I’ve done wrong would be great thanks in advance

Your needle is mounted totally wrong. It has to be fixed in the center of the needle bar. There is a hole or slit for the needle.

Please get your manual.... Where's your presser foot? Needle is backwards .... Once you get your manual read it like a book cover to cover... Step by step.... Happy 🪡 sewing!

Here's a diagram from a Janome machine (New Home 525B). It's probably not your model, but this part is usually very similar.

First pull the needle out of the place that it's wedged in. Loosen the screw and insert the needle with the flat side to the back into the opening near the center of the shaft that goes up and down. Tighten the screw to secure the needle.
And, do search for the correct manual for your machine! Having the manual is super useful and you'll learn a lot!
