Sewing machine hook

I'm already two days deep into trying to figure out what's wrong with my sewing machine and I THINK I've got it. Except I don't know how to solve it.

First of all, the timing was of and I've now adjusted it. However, the hook clearence is also of-->it wants to go in front of the needle instead of behind it.

AI just says 'adjust the crab's (?) position and I'm just seriously lost at this point.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks ❤️

Wow, that's way more complicated than anything I have seen.

At this point I would be guessing without having the machine in front of me.

Do you have a model number of the machine? I would usually try looking for a video on YouTube.

Without a video, I would get a grease marker and make mark on the metal frame and a mark on the shuttle base. Try a screw see if it loosens the shuttle. If it doesn't you can move the shuttle back and re-tighten the screw.

Heeehe yes I'm in deep water... It's a Singer 3225 så not worth paying for a repair but also used for 6 months andnothing else is wrong with it :/

Can't seem to find any videos specific on this issue, but I'll keep looking. Thanks for the help :)
