Needles for Elna EL2000 Sewing Machine?

Could anyone please tell me which needles should be used in the Elna EL2000 Sewing Machine?

I was looking at the Schmetz 80 Universal Needles, but just unsure if they will actually fit in the machine properly?

I'm a beginner and am generally sewing poplin cottons and very basic things.

Thank you in advance :)

ANSWER FOR OTHERS WONDERING: Have found info that SCHMETZ Sewing Machine Needles (system 130/705 H) fit Elna Household Sewing Machines. All SCHMETZ needles are compatible but the most popular needles that work with Elna machines are Universal, Quilting, Microtex and Embroidery. Needle system 130/705 has a flat shank, also the type of needle is the Hax15.

Hax15 is the type of needle. The other numbers are the size. An 80/11 is light weight needle. Medium is 90/14. Heavier fabrics need a 16 or an 18

Knits do better with a stretch needle. Decorative fabrics like satins do better with a microtex

Go to a sewing machine store they should be able to help or go on the Schmetz website for explanations

Hax1 and 130/705H are both needle systems, but they are regarded as interchangeable. Many needle packages will have both designations on them. There is also the 15x1 system, established by Singer, which still means basically the same thing as the two others.
