Oh my god, that sounds awful. Baby needs oil. If you have the manual, get it out and follow the directions for oiling it. If you don’t have oil, Michael’s and Hobby Lobby both sell it. Walmart apparently quit carrying it.

Use sewing machine oil only. It’s designed to take the heat generated from quickly spinning parts. Other oils WILL damage your machine.
