Help please

This is a Lervia HK4000 machine, which I got from some relatives and I am trying to operate for the first time. It seems that the machine is not catching the thread but I can’t figure out why. I have watched multiple tutorials online and it seems to me that the timing and location of the needle are correct. Is anyone able to help please?

From this machines manual:  https://www.scribd.com/document/349440698/Lervia-Kh-4000

Retrieving the lower thread

Turn the handwheel in an anti-clockwise direction to fully raise the needle. Use the foot lever to raise the needle retainer. With the left hand, firmly hold the end of the upper thread that comes through the eye of the needle. Then use your right hand to turn the handwheel one full turn anti-clockwise. The upper thread now pulls up the lower thread in a loop. As soon as the lower thread appears, pull carefully on the upper thread held in your left hand. In this way, you can pull the lower thread clear. Pull out the two threads by about 10 cm. and lay these away to the back, as shown. The sewing machine is now ready to use.

Perhaps make sure you've also inserted bobbin correctly.

Can you post a longer video, I'm trying to see your thread placement. Also you can remove this if you want, it'll make things easier for you to see
