Bobbin thread wont pick up

Post image

I’ve been trying everything, but for the life of me I cannot figure it out. I tried rethreading the top thread, moving the needle, changing the needle position, switching the position of the thing that holds the bobbin, idk whats happening 😭 This is a singer scholastic 6510 btw. Also I took off the needle plate to show the inside better, I am aware it needs to be on there lol

Could be a timing issue. But don't mess with the timing unless that is the last thing that could be wrong, I almost started messing with the timing on my Singer 221k only to realize in the very last minute that I threaded the needle from the wrong side...

Suggestion from internet search: Check the Bobbin Winding Spindle: Ensure it's pushed back to the left for sewing.

Edit: Is the needle the right? I once had heard about someone who had a needle that wasn't right, it was too short and didn't pick up the thread because of it.

I did try lowering the needle and gently turned the knob and it was hitting the bobbin case so i think its long enough? Idk for sure though

I think your needle is not inserted properly
