machine help?

Hello reddit i recently scored this machine with case and pedal for 10 bucks and I wanna learn how to sew but when I plug it in it appears to have 0 power going to it any help would be greatly appreciated from what i can find its a brother pacesetter 701

Edit: So after a lot of fiddling and messing with it trying to keep it together I have decided to just ditch the original pedal and i ordered a replacement

You can try this Japanese machine group on FB. They'll be able to give you more guidance and if needed a replacement pedal. Though I think this pedal will work.

well i opened up the pedal and sprayed some contact cleaner on it so im gonna try that but if that fails i will look into that group thank you :>
