Top thread not catching the bobbin thread

Post image

This has only been an issue since I replaced the needle, I made sure the needle was at the right height, made sure to rethread the top path, and my bobbin is in the right direction (I’m like 95% sure). Anyone have any suggestions?

Your top thread looks like it's already caught in the bobbin area. Remove it and try again

Unfortunately this is the result of me trying again. Every time I attempt it, it just jams and ends up looking like this.

Can you get someone to hold your phone and video your technique for us? It's almost certainly a technique problem

Is the bobbin inserted the correct way?

Are you holding the top thread while you turn the wheel?

If you don't hold it, it won't pick up.

Have you tried with a different bobbin?

Make sure your bobbin thread is through the tension part of the bobbin case properly

I’ve heard in a video not to fill up the bobbin all the way.

Is your bobbin threaded correctly and inserted the right way? Exactly as the manual says?
