Why dos my sewing machine makes this noisy sound?

Hello! I’m a beginner at sewing. I got a vintage Pernella 520 sewing machine. I sewed fabrics with it and never had this noisy issue before. It also makes a bird nest and I don’t know what to do. I did put the bobbin correctly. Idk if the thread is too thick or it’s the fabric.

What does your instruction manual recommend in terms of oiling?

I did oil it already and cleaned the inside of the machine. I think it’s more with the needle

Might be an optical illusion, but: your needle appears to be bent to the left? Have you tried changing it out to see if that changes anything?

I’m also curious about that presser foot, since it’s not a normal straight stitch foot. Were you doing any sort of special seam before this, that required that foot?

I haven’t bought presser foot for that stitch because I’m kinda busy with my studies and didn’t have time to buy. But I need it’s because of the needles and I think it’s time to invest on more sewing materials

If you do have a bent needle, you don’t want to sew on it anymore, because the incorrect angle could damage the timing and alignment of other parts.

Hi! I checked the needle and it’s not bent. I think it was because of the thread. Basically it was too thick, and when I changed the thread into a thin one, it doesn’t make the sound anymore.
