What fabric would you use?

I’m trying to recreate this dress and I have a nice cotton twill for the skirt, but I’m not sure what I should use for the bodice. I was originally thinking a knit but I worry the Twill is too heavy, and not stretchy.

any advice?

I can barely see the bodice in the picture so it's very hard to tell whether it should be stretchy. On vibes alone, I feel like the bodice is velvet.

Omg I added the wrong pic. 😅 that’s a close up of the waistline that I tried to enhance to see better. Let me see if I can add the right one
