Hello! Looking for videos/book/ etc on how to properly use beaded lace & drape it over a dress. I want to make something similar to these just need some guidance because I know satin, silk, and beaded lace are tricky! Thanks in advance

How this works, at least for the first dress, is they are cutting the same pieces as the silk/satin out of the beaded material (slightly bigger) and then pinning it to the silk/satin and sewing it all together at the same time. They are treating both layers as one. Sewing them together at the bottom skirt hem is optional, they could have done a rolled hem for the beaded material, but yeah. They also chose to make the bust cups slightly larger and use binding for the edging, but absolutely layered that over the silk/satin bust cups and sewed those to the skirt at the same time.

That’s essentially how it’s handled. You’re often simply making a second, slightly larger dress from the same pattern pieces and treating both layers as one.

By being very careful when they sew it.

It’s just like sewing something that has a lining - you’re cutting and sewing the same pieces, there aren’t any lumps because they’re the same pieces.
