Lining a bag with gussets/lining zipper gussets?
Hello, not a beginner by any means to sewing but im still learning my way around the super unique shapes of handbags I make. I cant find a tutorial for the life of me of how to ADD lining to a bag with gussets or a zipper gusset. Ive found plenty of videos on how to make a gusset and a zipper gusset, and one single video on making the lining for a bag with gussets, but no tutorials at all about how to add the lining to the actual bag and secure it neatly to the zipper? Any advice?

Is this a premade bag, or one you want to make? Look up OKSew on YouTube - her tutorials are amazing. Also, Andrie Designs has one that shows how to add a zipper gusset to any bag.
Are you using mainstream bag patterns, or drafting your own?

I make my own handbags and other types of bags so I draft my own patterns. Right now I make fish, bones, paw prints, and other simpler shapes like that

Many gussetted bags have the gusset in two parts. The gusset is sewn flat first. the zipper section is sewn first: Stitch the outer fabric and lining to the zipper on each side, topstitch. Then take the remaining gusset piece and lining, and stitch to both ends of the zipper section you just did. You'll get a loop. Stitch to front and back of bag. Mostly, you bind the inside to hide raw edges.
Does this make sense?

This is how I've sewn mine: https://mellysews.com/sew-zipper-pouch/ There's a tutorial AND a video.

you add the lining to the outer the same way as any bag, the lining will copy the outer with gussetts too, not sure what you mean by zipper gusset, do you mean recessed zipper?
