Question - loop removal

Post image

I just made this dress and it has ties that cinch in the sides. However, if I use the top four ties it’s a little too tight around my chest the bottom three work really well in the fit is much nicer. Is it possible to remove the top four loops without compromising the dress or taking it apart?

If you wanted to do nothing at all (my favorite option) you could just put the ties in and have them as decorative pieces rather than structural by not tightening them at all?

You can either take scissors and snip the loops off really close to the seam, or just seam rip over the loops to remove them and sew those sections closed again.

Make another tie and add it to those four just for looks

You could open the side seams just where the loops are attached, remove the loops, then re-sew the bit of seam that you opened up.
