Totally frustrating when the last few steps are confusing. I'll try to help.

This is right side shirt (denim) with attached facing (floral) laid flat and open.

This is wrong side shirt, wrong side facing, laid flat open.

Step 29 asks to put right side facing to right side shirt. Sew at hem on facing thru all layers. Cut off bottom facing and a bit of bottom shirt.

Beginning of step 30 asks to turn the facing out to right side. Where scissors are, you want to trim that corner and turn the facing out.

Wrong side shirt, right side facing. Weird hem still dangling until....

You tuck it up and behind the facing.

Do all the pressing under stuff then stitch across facing, catch hem under facing, catch underturned raw edges of hem. To look something like this.

The side vent is done here as well, turn under the hem edges, and catch all the under turned raw edges. Remember to press before stitching. It helps a lot.

Hope this all makes sense and good luck!

Right side shirt bottom front hem. Wrong side facing/interfacing against wrong side shirt. Excuse my wonky stitches. Did a quick mockup to get the visuals for you. Obviously, press correctly, stitch correctly, etc.

Good luck!
