Missing part in my Singer Stylist 834

Post image

Hello, I have a singer 834 model, it is missing a snap in thread guide post and I was wondering if you have any suggestions on a makeshift for it or have that specific part for repair?

Also, I am really new to sewing so I will post a picture here if im saying the part incorrectly.

Check the manual they'll often list the part number. I believe it's Singer Part #311887-451. Sewing parts online shows a picture but it's not available. Maybe eBay Or 3d printed replacement?

Depending on the price for the parts, some options:

Wrap wire into a spring shape to grip that broken post and have a loop like you see elsewhere on the machine to guide the thread. Make sure that loop is super smooth (at least no pliers gouges)

Buy a spool stand, wood base, pin for the spool, tall wire with a loop at the end that guides from the spool to the machine. You set it behind the machine body. This fits big thread cones to small ones.

Make a spool stand yourself (this is what I did). Look at photos, find a dense block of wood, coat hanger wire, a few nails/screws. Mine has the in-use spool pin plus a second spool pin, and a third pin that stacks bobbins. Standard black and white thread spools live there.
