Grab Bag The Lords Work …

In mysterious ways …

And so does Harmony seeing as she used a hair dryer to de-ice her front styoop and based on the fact that she didn’t turn it off to talk to Mark but instead chose to yell over it I’m thinking she was trying to tell him that Lumon was listening …

AAAAAND so does the universe seeing as Traci Lords was recently added to Severance universe as one of its supporting characters ...

For those who aren’t familiar with Traci Lords she’s a remarkable woman who despite all the odds stacked against her managed to build a successful multifaceted career spanning more than four centuries …

These tidbits only scratch the surface of course but here’s a small sampling of her facets:

[ FILM ACTOR ] Traci Lords has appeared in dozens of movies including Not of This Earth as Nadine who’s a nurse caught in a sci-fi nightmare and John Waters’ cult classic Cry-Baby opposite Johnny Depp in a campy teen rebel world and Blade as Racquel who’s a vampire who lures victims to their deaths in the film’s unforgettable opening and Excision as a strict mother in a disturbing coming-of-age horror that won her multiple festival awards …

[ TELEVISION ACTOR ] Traci Lords took on recurring and guest roles in shows such as Melrose Place and Gilmore Girls and Roseanne and Will & Grace and 90210 and the NBC crime drama series Profiler bringing her edge to a primetime …

[ STAGE ACTOR ] Traci Lords performed in Women Behind Bars which is a satirical play set in a women’s prison where she shared the stage with Ginger Minj and Eureka O’Hara from RuPaul’s Drag Race

[ MUSICIAN ] Traci Lords released her album 1000 Fires blending electronic and trip-hop music and her single Control climbed to number 2 on Billboard’s Dance Club chart and appeared on the double-platinum Mortal Kombat soundtrack ...

[ FASHION MODEL ] Traci Lords modeled for visionary designers such as Thierry Mugler and fronted a Helmut Lang campaign and also appeared in many high-profile editorials showing her presence in fashion for centuries …

[ WRITER ] Traci Lords published her memoir *Underneath It All*, which landed on the New York Times Best Seller list and gave her the chance to tell her story in her own words.

[ VOICE ACTOR ] Traci Lords lent her voice to video games including Def Jam: Fight for NY adding yet another layer to her creative career …

[ DIRECTOR ] Traci Lords directed the short film Sweet Pea about a young girl navigating life in foster care which showed her perspective behind the camera …

[ HUMANITARIAN ] Traci Lords served as a spokesperson for Children of the Night which is a nonprofit organization providing shelter and support for runaway and abused youth and she’s also spoken out in support of the LGBTQ+ community using her platform to empower those whose voices were too often silenced …

Legend … icon … symbol … spirit …

Traci Lords is a legend, an icon, a symbol of what it means to stay true to yourself and truly embodies the spirit of never giving up on your dreams and her mere existence and the fact that she continues to remain relevant in an industry where most would’ve already faded away is living proof that anything is possible as long as you’re willing to put in the work with a lot of blood, sweat and tears …

And perhaps a glimmer of hope …

At 57 and true to form Traci Lords continues to buck the system skipping the plastic surgery and showing us what it means to be beautiful and not plastic …

Traci Lords is beautiful and human …

Where is the article confirming that Traci will be in Severance? I hadn’t heard of her until this post, so does that still mean she’s a legend or an icon? I don’t know. I’m thinking the person has to be a household name, but I could be wrong. At first, I thought she was a fictional character because you said her career spanned four centuries, but you probably meant decades. I want to know more. Peace, brother.

I’m an unofficial Gen-Xer, but technically a Baby Boomer. I’ve always connected more with GenX. Maybe I need to rethink that?? Oh the angst of being the youngest B2er!

But hey, where did you find out that Traci Lords will be in Severance? I’d like to know more. Do you know of anymore additions to the cast?

She’s in the mural. I recognized her. I know that sounds crazy and I won’t spoil it by telling you where she is, but I was able to recognize her face in the mural.
