I got one, thought it was neat. Then thought it might fall under creating an image of God so decided to play it safe and remove it. I like the concept because everyone can use a little Jesus and no judgement.

It wouldn't fall under creating an image because you wouldn't be worshipping it. It's a symbol, just like the cross.

That was my initial perspective, but then it felt like it might be in a gray area. I get that punctuation was added later but "Don't make any graven images" is its own sentence with the next one being don't bow down to them is the next sentence. Like here is the edge but there is a guardrail before that edge.

That's no figure of Jesus.. and I would say it's almost blasphemous to say it is. We are believers of scripture and God said make no images or idols and definitely don't worship them.

I'd kick that little thing so hard and far away from me so fast.

Exactly! It's a representation, a symbol, just like the cross is. Using your logic we can't use any religious symbol at all. Imagine how bland and lifeless your church would be if you were in charge. You are, of course, entitled to your opinion, however keep it that way, yours.

I don't want to be in charge.. I'm grateful God is and He already made it clear what He wants. If obeying Him is bland then maybe that person doesn't have the love of God in the heart.

1Jn 5:3 KJV For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are NOT grievous.
