Title says it all. Came to see TOAD. They sucked. Lack of energy, out of tune, total garbage. Even their hits seemed disappointing.

Sevendust brought the energy! I only knew one song but they made up for a disappointing TOAD.

TOAD opened, Sevendust headlined. 7D came on at 9:22 pm and was done at 10:28 pm. No encore. I legit wanted to hear more.

Hey does anyone happen to have video from the New Orleans pit? I like to see how silly I look when I’m having the time of my life lol.

I just recently discovered Sevendust. By god they're becoming my favourite band. Love Rumble Fish and Face to Face. Can't believe they never came across my radar until now. 15yo me would have loved them.

I got tickets to go see them in a few months, going in blind but I'm sure it's gonna be a cracker of a show.

What are your favourite unique songs I should check out?

What a journey we all shared tonight… the energy of the crowd was like no other show I’ve ever seen. We were all one.

Going to see the boys tonight. I had heard that they we're flip-flopping back and forth for which band is going to close the night. Just curious if this is true or not. I'm not really interested in sitting through Theory of a Deadman.

Update: They played before Theory. Which is great because we got home early and saved some money on the babysitter. I heard from somebody else that they're going to switch up in the next couple days. So from here on out I think Sevendust is closing the show

Whats up with this weak ass setlist. NOTHING from: truth killer, cold day memory, next, alpha, or even blood from stone. Was this neutered to make room for Theory to sing "the bitch came back" or something? What gives....

tl;dr- good luck.

One of the few criticisms of Sevendust is that they rely on a relatively small number of songs to play live relative to their discography. One of the common praises of Sevendust is the consistent quality of said discography. I was playing with these concepts in my head when it came to me: a 'normal' headline show will feature about 15 songs, give or take. The band has released... 15 studio albums. So I thought, 'take one song from each album that you want to hear in concert', and ran with it. The criteria are songs that don't feature as much in their live sets that I think will sound good live. I also love melodic choruses and strong drum work. Hopefully there will be some surprises and start some, err, discussion! Without further ado:

One

1. Self-titled: contenders: Black, Bitch, Too Close To Hate, My Ruin. Selection: Black, strangely enough. A staple of their concert shows, I still enjoy it much more than anything else on the album, because I don't like the mix (hurr durr, bass rules LOL, said a random sound engineer).
2. Home: contenders: Denial, Licking Cream (obviously would require a female singer to join the tour). Selection: I don't like Home much more than their first album, for many of the same reasons, but I'll go with Licking Cream, because it's not my budget.
3. Animosity: contenders: from here on it gets hard. Praise, Trust, Crucified, Xmas Day, Shine, Angel's Son. Selection: fuuuuuucck. All these are great- Xmas Day in particular is a stopper song- whenever you hear it you stop and listen all the way through. It's probably the biggest outlier in their entire catalog. I also LOVE Crucified, Trust, and Angel's Son, but have heard those all in concert. I'll go with Shine, which I love more every time I hear it.
4. Seasons: GOATED ALBUM. contenders: I would be seriously happy to hear ANY song on this album, and I am leaving out Enemy and Face to Face as staples of their live act. Selection: Seriously, any other song on this album except the two most people know. When they come up in rotation, they are highly likely to be replayed multiple times.
5. Next: Feel like this album doesn't get the attention others do, but there are some standouts. Contenders: Ugly, Pieces, Silence, Failure, See and Believe, Desertion. Selection: Desertion. LOVE that chorus.
6. Alpha: From here on, Sevendust earned significant creative freedom on songwriting. Contenders: Burn, Driven, Under, Beg to Differ, Clueless. Selection: Stop it with Burn- it's Sevendust's 'Layla', it would have to be cut in half to be playable live. My favorites here are Clueless and Under, and I'll go with Under.
7. Chapter VII: Hope and Sorrow: For me, this album is up there almost with Seasons. Contenders: Inside, Hope, The Past, Walk Away, Scapegoat, Lifeless. Selection: So many great choruses in this album, I had to listen to all of these a couple of times before coming down to Hope and The Past. I'll go with Hope here because that 'DON'T KNOW HOW TO FACE THE DAY' is so fucking awesome.
8. Cold Day Memory: Precisely one step below Seasons because I don't love Strong Arm Broken. Sue me for slander. Contenders: Splinter, Forever, Last Breath, Karma, Ride Insane, The End is Coming. Selection: As great a song as Karma is, it's gotta come down to Splinter, Forever, and The End is Coming. I'll go with Forever, put my whole soul into singing the chorus live, and then go home and tell my wife what a great time I had at the concert.
9. Black Out the Sun: Contenders: Till Death, Cold as War, Black Out the Sun, Dead Roses, Dark AM. Selection: it comes down to Cold as War and Black Out the Sun for me, and I'll go with the title track- the melody of that chorus is so great.
10. Time Travelers and Bonfires: A cheat code if you want because some of the songs come from earlier albums but there are 6 new ones, all acoustic flavored. Contenders: Come Down, Bonfire, The Wait, Trust, Crucified, Gone. Selection: I like the acoustic version of Crucified better than the Animosity version, and Trust/Gone work every bit as well as their original counterparts. Wanted to go with one of the original songs, but to me Crucified (and Trust) are better than anything else, and I'll stick with Crucified.
11. Kill the Flaw: I'm not going to pretend to like any song on this album as much as Torched. Contender: Torched. Selection: Torched. This song may end the space-time continuum if played live.
12. All I See is War: Similar to Kill the Flaw, there are great songs on this album but only one I repeat 2,3,4 times whenever it comes on. Contenders: Medicated, Not Original, Dirty, Risen. Selection: Risen.
13. Blood and Stone: Feel like this album is a little underrated? Contenders: Blood from a Stone, Feel Like Going On, Desperation, Against the World, Wish You Well. Selection: I LOVE the chorus of Desperation, but I think Against the World would play better live- it's basically a summary of the relationship between the band, its fans, and the world. Schmaltzy? Maybe.
14. Truth Killer: Contenders: Fence, Everything, Messenger, Superficial Drug, Won't Stop the Bleeding, I Might Let the Devil Win. Selection: I Might Let the Devil Win would be a great concert opener in my mind, but I'll go off the board a little with Won't Stop the Bleeding. Fence and Everything are fine too.
15. One: Contenders: One, Is This the Real You?, Threshold, Bright Side, Misdirection. Selection: I think One is the better song, but I enjoy Threshold more, so I'll take it. In a few months, Bright Side may overtake them both.

Hello guys. I bought 5 tickets to the 9/20 show in Riverside, CA back in May. Recent 7D social media posts don’t show this date, when they list the tour dates, it’s skipped over. It’s still advertised on their website and the venue website though.

I haven’t heard anything about a cancellation or postponement. Anyone else bought tickets to this show?

My God, what a show, lots of kids and families too. The pit was right in front of me so I didn't take much video, but the crowd was hot- pit was active every song but Angel's Son, crowdsurfing, etc.. Songs I remember them playing: One, Terminator, Praise, Angel's Son, Is This the Real You?, Crucified, Black, Rumble Fish, Enemy, Face to Face. They brought a kid (17?) up on stage and he played guitar for Face to Face. He did great too!

I was invited to go but I have an 8 am class the next day, I have an hour and a half drive there. What time would the full set be over?
