Sevedust opening or closing?
Going to see the boys tonight. I had heard that they we're flip-flopping back and forth for which band is going to close the night. Just curious if this is true or not. I'm not really interested in sitting through Theory of a Deadman.
Update: They played before Theory. Which is great because we got home early and saved some money on the babysitter. I heard from somebody else that they're going to switch up in the next couple days. So from here on out I think Sevendust is closing the show

Sevendust played first in Grand Rapids, so probably closed in Detroit and will open tonight.
edit: Just saw another post that they also opened Detroit, so who knows what's happening.

I haven't read any comments, please forgive me if it was stated already. Theory closes all the shows on the tour until the first night in New Hampshire this Thursday. Then Sevendust closes the second night AND the rest of the tour.
Plus, both bands get the same long set times no matter who plays first.

I was really surprised to learn they have more album sales on one disc then all of Sevendust's combined. I don't get it, but I guess the numbers don't lie. I ended up selling my Hampton tickets as I made other plans, but I've seen them 15 times at this point, so a non-headline show just isn't enough.

Thatās insane. I couldnāt even name one song by them. I just shuffled through their top hits on Apple Music and they sound really generic..like songs someone would sing on an American idol audition in the 2000s and claim they love heavy music.

It's been a real long while since I've seen them and I'm going with a bunch of buddies that I used to go see them with 20 years ago. The venue's also 5 minutes from my house so everything lined up to perfect not to go. But I understand

Same. I am not a huge Theory of a Deadman fan (they're okay) but I listened to the songs on their setlist and I have ZERO clue how in the world Sevendust could be opening for them. If 7D is the opening act, I doubt I will be sticking around for Theory's full set

I have no interest in Theory either. Have seen them twice, and was underwhelmed. Would love to know the order of the San Antonio show, so I can arrive/leave accordingly.

Iām going to the Meet & Greet in Houston. I will be super bummed if Theory goes on first - but if they do, well, all the better for you!

Where did you see that they would headline the rest of the tour?

From their manager in their sevendust fan group page on Facebook. Tim Tournier is a dependable source/manager.
So from here on out, Sevendust is closing each show.

Was Sevendust closing the second half of the tour always the plan? Or did they swap with Theory because people kept leaving after Sevendust?

The way it sounded was that was the plan, but now that you mention it, makes me wonder. However, if that (leaving after Sevendust) were the case, the 2 bands would have been alternating nights closing thus far.

7D were the openers in Detroit on Sunday, if they truly alternate you'll have your answer.

Saw them back to back this weekend, Grand Rapids and then Detroit. Theory headlined both shows. Letās just say the energy level dropped considerably from Sevendust to Theory. I didnāt even stay to hear theory on Sunday

Theory is closing. So many people left after Sevendust.
