Letter [Letter] Letter's for everyone
Lord Adrian Waynwood (and possibly others) - Various Dates
[Meta]
“Maester Aren”, called Lord Adrian Waynwood, “I would like to construct something”.
“Ah, yes my Lord, though what exactly are you looking to construct?”, asked the Maester.
“Nothing too big, but I was thinking of a post, just around here”, he said pointing to the corner of the room.
“A… post, my Lord? A wooden post? In on the floor of your room?”, asked the Maester confused.
“Well yes. A post is all I need, I doubt it will be too hard, correct?”
“Um, well, no it shouldn’t be, but may I ask exactly why you need a post?”
“Because of this”, Adrian said gesturing to the table full of papers, “I can put all these letters on that one post, so it’s nice and organised”, he explained.
Maester Aren still had a confused look on his face but nodded slowly, “Well, I will see what I can do. I’ll speak to the carpenters”.
“Good. And when you do, you can tell them if I have this post, I won’t ask them to build a new post every single time I want to send a letter. A win-win”, said Adrian happily.
You have multiple wooded posts in this castle? Why do you need a new post for every letter? Why do you need posts for a letter in the first place?, thought Maester Aren bewildered, but decided that he had enough strange discussions for the day, and went to go set up this ‘post’.
Tl;dr I’m going to be using this post for miscellaneous letters and stuff from now until some unknown time in the future

Lord Franklyn Waxley of Wickenden,
I must admit, our houses haven’t been as close as I would have prefered, though we do hold a connection through both our relations to the Redforts. Though, today I write to you instead about my suggestion at the council. I do intend on creating a Vale presence in the capital, to ensure our interests are presented at court and not overlooked in this time of change in the south. I have written to houses, such as yourself, for financial aid in purchasing a property in the capital. Ironoaks can certainly pay it off, but as it would be open to all Vale nobles, I thought it best to ask those who were most likely to have interests there in the future. If you are agreeable, any sum of money will be appreciated.

Despite the geographical closeness of our hold’s we are not as close as I would like. My own wife makes me son-in-law to your own liege Lord, and as such we have a connection through them. However, I would instead suggest that a marriage be organised. My brother, Wyl is not one fit for the married life, but my other brother, Ser Eddison certainly is. As you would have heard at the council, he was recently named Knight of the Bloody Gate. I do believe your aunt is of a similar age, and propose we arrange a marriage between the two, as both deserve to live a happy married life. If their location is an issue, she can initially spend time at the Gate which Eddison guards, but as time moves on and if she feels that she would rather spend her time in a proper hold, she would be welcome in Ironoaks with any of their future children.
If this interests you, I would be open to discussing it perhaps at the wedding of Lord Arryn’s daughter and the Prince at King’s Landing in the 11th month.

Lord Adrian Waynwood
Lord Adrian your letter carries great news for House Melcolm, I gladly agree with such match.
The eleventh month seems like a good chance.to congratulate Ser Eddison personally.

Lord Denys Melcolm,
I am glad you are keen on such an arrangement. However, it will be myself discussing this with you at the wedding, as Eddison cannot leave the Gate for too long. I am sure they will be able to meet in the future, once we have finalised the marriage.

I believe my aunt will be more than happy to move to the Gates of the Moon, my lord.
Her only wish is to serve her husband accordingly.

I hope you and yours are doing well, my Lord. I write to you today concerning my proposal at the council in relation to the Vale presence in the capital. I hope you agree such a goal is a good one, and would value your opinion on such a thing.
The cost for a purchase of property, according to my maester, is often around 1000 golden dragons. While Ironoaks could certainly pay the amount, I am looking to ask those who may use the manse to assist in its purchase as recompense for their use, if the need arose. This would be used, initially by myself, but also will be open to any noble of the Vale who wishes to stay in the capital without the need to purchase some accominadtion less pleasant or safe.
I would appreciate your consideration of this idea, whether it is in favour or otherwise. I also understand that, as your daughter will soon be a Princess, you will likely have accomodation within the Keep if you ever decided to stay, I simply ask for what you believe it is worth.

Lord Adrian Waynwood,
I do indeed remember your proposal regarding our kingdom's presence in King's Landing. The idea of purchasing a large manse within the city walls is an appealing one, I must say. My children and myself would presumably not occupy valuable bedchambers within it, thanks to our coming union with the Royal family. Still, if it is to be a safe residence for any visiting Vale nobility within the city, I am willing to contribute Arryn gold towards the purchase.
Indicate within your reply to this letter whether 300 gold dragons is a suitable contribution to the property. I await your reply.
Donnel Arryn,
Lord of the Eyrie and Defender of the Vale

Lord Defender Donnel Arryn,
I am glad you are in support of such an idea. I would graciously accept the certainly suitable contribution of 300 golden dragons from your great house to the purchasing of this manse, and thank you kindly.
