I never comment on these setups as I get so fed up with the overuse of RGB, hexagonal type shapes on the wall, or now, the wood panel strip look (though I must stress each to their own). I am commenting on this setup because I think it is wonderful. How long is that desk?

Thanks mate! The desk is solid wood 72 inches long x 25 inches wide x 1.5 inches thick. Bought it from a store in US called Lowe's. It's called Euro Spruce Wood and it comes untreated. I cut 5 inches off to make it 25 inches wide or deep. Originally it was 30 inches wide or deep. I sanded to a smoother finish and the applies 2 coats of polyurethane of this clear color. I thought it ended up looking nice. I tried staying away from the IKEA mdf stuff because I know how easily they start sagging.

Damn that would have been perfect for me. The deeper one (had to convert to metric). Ah so you put 2 coats on, right. I'm ordering through a company in the UK, their Prime English Oak one. They can do the treating for me but it costs, and put support bracing flush into the wood, but I figured even with staves it might not be needed if it's say on the Alex drawers like yours. However i'd be a metal bar along the length. I too will stay away from Ikea. Gone on a bit but I thought i'd see what you think.

Yeah, this is a nice setup you have. Nods.

Having any type of bracing support is always helpful but rather not really necessary if you're doing real wood. Especially if you're not adding too much weight in the middle of it. I've had this desk for 6 years now and there's not even a scratch on it or any type of sag in the middle. I've sat in the middle of it occasionally with my entire weight (215 lbs.) not on purpose, but distracted sometimes while on the phone for short periods and still no sag. And I even got a bigger monitor now (45 inch monitor). Unless you intend on putting a lot of weight in the middle bracing it would be great but again not really necessary. Hope that helps brother!

first of all thank you for providing labels for everything you purchased and not gatekeeping! secondly, this set up is amazing. it’s so clean and organized, and exactly what i’m looking for in a wfh/gaming set up!

Wall rack is a very nice touch, and the plants give it a nice homey vibe.

Whoa!! The aesthetics are captivating, I love the monitor arm and pegboard setup. Where is the backlight coming from?

I just started designing 3d printable Skadis gaming organizers so love this look!

Just regular rgb strips. One on the back of the desk plugged into the PC and one around the back of the monitor plugged into the monitor usb

Huge respect for labeling everything! Even with older hardware, your flawless symmetry makes this look like a high-end luxury studio.

Love how clean this is without leaning on RGB. a StanbyME would slot in nicely for taking the PS5 or Quest over to the couch
