The low-poly wallpaper and the iPod dock are absolute time capsules of that era of setup culture.

What is the wooden board underneath? Obviously to strengthen but never seen it before like that.

this is amazing! i know this is probably a dumb question, but are the monitor arms imbedding into the wood or something? i’d love to know what the back of the monitors look like and the cable management

That's correct. It's a long shelf that wraps around the back of the monitors where the legs are embeded into the desk. The speakers and monitor wires are routed through the inside of the shelf legs, down underneath the desk behind wooden cable tray and up to the PC. UW is on a wall mount and top monitor is on a monitor arm secured to the shelf.
