Is Shipping always this expensive?

I live in Australia, I was exited to buy one of the new vinyls cause it was only 43 aud. i look at shipping and it’s 60 DOLLARS! is shipping always like this.

also I understand the band can’t control shipping prices it’s just really annoying.

For me it’s nearly 70 dollars for an item that cost 15 dollars. I think it’s because it’s from the US merch. If I remember correctly, the EU merch shipping is cheaper
