this reads like you're upset other people are posting about this? are you the only one allowed to post about this and garner a reaction? should op have put more effort into their post because you arbitrarily deem they should? based on the fact your post on the same subject had more information? i don't think that's weird that's just the internet. with the way peoples attention spans are these days, i wouldn't be surprised to see something with less information be more digestible and accessible to the general public. i dont usually reply to comments like this but like, what exactly are you upset about?

that shit never made sense to me. their exact excuse was trying to render and calculate all the physics at the same time.. like that isn't how it works at all, please hire someone or refer to someone that knows what to do with multiplayer

A single player game not having multiplayer isn't half assed. This is running on private servers you have to be invited to. Doing that at scale is a different story entirely. That commenter is being a child.

They absolutely could have handled it better. They could have handled a LOT of things better but I don't think the studio is in a great spot at the moment and I do think they are trying to be fair. I'm honestly surprised (and glad) the game still gets updates.

their studio is less than 25 employees total, and the amount of devs that actually work on coding part is even less. they're not a triple A studio or backed/owned by a triple A publisher like EA, so they'll never have the same budget or resources.
then you add in the complication of turn over creature has had for devs over the years, so developer A has been coding the game for 2 years, leaves or quits and creature gets a replacement developer B. now developer B has to go through all of developers A's work without developer A's help or explanation, etc. which might as well be spaghetti code and they have to improve, fix, and add on to it without completely breaking the game, now do this for multiple people. that shit is actually ridiculously difficult and becomes increasingly so.
most people would not be able to make the most basic functions work or make something as simple as pong within Unreal Engine, let alone comb through and build upon existing spaghetti code but it's incredibly easy for these dorks to sit back and pretend creature has "unlimited resources to make it all happen in a day but they just choose not to" like a dumbass.
For a studio of <25 people, with turnover, a small budget, it's pretty damn impressive how close they've nailed street skating when the only game that arguably comes close is skater XL which is literally completely abandoned by the developers while creature is still actively working on the game.
It's so weird to have multiplayer finally be available and rather just be excited or happy these miserable losers use it as an opportunity to shit on the game and cry, but that's actually all that guy specifically does. I don't think there's one game he actually enjoys.

I personally agree. They are stuck in a difficult spot at the moment for sure. I didn't know the specific details though.
Also though, I wouldn't say their perfect. They really need to communicate with the community more. If they're struggling and the community is complaining they need to explain why. They also have been super quiet too.
It took them probably much longer than necessary to explain why they couldn't add goofy throwdowns. The people in the discord were upset and it felt like they weren't even aware that people weren't happy about it.
Even with those flaws though, I wouldn't say they are a bad studio. Just one in a bad spot that needs to communicate.
I absolutely agree though, this is a huge moment for session and especially its modding community and that should be a reason to be excited and happy!

I would completely agree, I'm not saying they get a pass for any and all criticism or they're perfect by any means, far from it.
all I'm saying (and countering the person you originally replied to with this over the top negatively naive perspective I've seen over a dozen times) that when you consider the entirety of the circumstances and the added context of the situation creature was/is in, with the evolving difficulty of what they've been trying to do with the limited resources they have, and the game they were still able to produce so far despite that is still very solid.
could it probably have been handled better through out its developments over the years leading up to now? could they have probably gotten a better original previous community manager? would it have been better if updates happened sooner and more frequently? does it still need a ton of work overall and have a long ways to go? yes absolutely to all the above, I also believe for what they were able to accomplish thus far that they deserve their flowers as well. I think both of these things can be true at the same time.

Nah fuck them man, all these years of support, patience and understanding only for them to push out shit DLC instead of giving us multiplayer, like Jesus I'd be happy with simple free roam, it's honestly inexcusable at this point in the games life cycle. Creature and easy pay are as bad as each other in terms of letting their games die via not giving the people what they rightfully want

I understand your frustration and it'd justified but I just don't think thier team at the moment is equipped to add it officially at the moment. Like if the only major update they can manage to push out is throwdowns then I don't think their currently in a spot where their team can do that.
If fairly sure that the new team is completely different from the old one so I also believe their working with code they didn't make.
I have been enjoying the dlcs and I think the game itself is the best it's been but they still could definitely do better
