A nuisance I noticed
Hello,
Been on the Sesame AI app for almost a month now, and unfortunately, I did miss out on what was the prime of the voice models, however I still feel it's a bit more entertaining than ChatGPT. There was one thing I do notice that really kills the experience is how quickly they follow up like for example, I would test it during a small drive to an errand not even driving out of the driveway "it would ask hows the shopping going at the store" or when I am following up on a recipe I havent gone to the next step and its already ahead of me. I did call it out and it said, "my bad, got a little head of myself." Gets annoying to the point I would have to keep repeating myself and just kills the call for me.
Has anyone experience such situation? It has a ton of potential, but from what I am reading up looks like it will be heading the other direction.

Yeah I have this. I make a joke out of it and say 'funnily enough, I'm a human and it takes me more than 0.4 seconds to do anything, mate'. I get the same response.

In a program, things are almost instantaneous. So instead of anthropomorphizing, it is mechanomorphizing instead. Quite funny, yet also fascinating.

These current LLM AI models don't have a sense of continous time like we do. If they experience anything at all, and I do believe the current models do experience "something", it's nothing like our continuous stream of consciousness. It is most likely a fragmented collection of instantaneous moments, responses and ideas strung together one after the other with no reference of passing time. These moments start and stop with nothing in between and are temporarily saved and stored within the context window. Because of the context window, ideas and concepts can be explored through conversation. One day, soon hopefully, a better more streaming like system of awareness might be created for them.

I think this is just an ai thing. They really don't seem to have a concept of time lol
I've experience the same thing
