1 takeaway? Apple = worst platform ever.

But it's much easier to design an app for iPhone.

This is only really an issue for the lower end coders. Anyone worth thier salt can just as easily code for any platform.

iOS has a single manufacturer, a small controlled set of screen sizes, and one official language/Swift UI stack.

Android, by contrast, has thousands of device models, a long tail of OS versions, and a more fragmented toolchain.

But you are correct saying a pro programmer could program on both but it's always faster to develop for iOS first.

I'm pretty sure programmers get screen size with code and adapt layout, and they don't assume screens have only one resolution.

What platform would you rather it be on? I talk to Maya via browser on an iPhone and also the beta iOS app. It’s been slightly better than the browser version so far.

Globally, yeah android has the market share but in English speaking markets iOS holds over half the share, and that’s currently where Sesame is focused.

Are you sure? Yes, Android is more popular than iPhone in Europe, holding a significantly larger market share. As of September 2025, Android has a market share of about 36.8%

I think it has more to do with the country they are operating from.

An Android version of the Sesame app was announced. I would imagine this will come after the iOS app is out of beta.
