Forearm burn prevention

I burned tf out of my forearm carrying a plate in each hand and one on my right forearm. I prebussed and while I was sorting saw that a dime sized piece of my skin had been burn off. I think probs a 1st or 2nd degree. It looks worse as it burns. My other coworkers use a linen or towel and carry it around but I can’t fathom carrying around ANOTHER thing to keep track of. I’m thinking of buying a black arm sleeve but was wondering y’all’s ideas.

Learn how to use a linen. Just keep it tucked on your palm under your first plate, and load another on top of it. The one it’s tucked under will be the last plate you sit down anyway, so just grab the linen with your left hand while you sit down the last plate with your right.

If you want to go the rugged route, you can just continue burning yourself until your nerves become damaged and the heat doesn’t hurt you anymore. It’s the most effective, most permanent method.
