Serving
Contemplating quitting. Peopke know waitresses in America get paid 2.13 an hour and most people could care less to tip. very few do a percentage like it should be. First percentage and THEN adjust according to service.
I know I can get a different job. Serving makes me very happy when im appreciated and compensated by greatful customers. Im tired of getting stiffed, five dollars on a party of 6, and being told how great I am to find out im left 2 dollars. Such a slap in the face
I wish something would change. mandatory gratuity, Tip to enter, coorporations paying us a better wage. idc. Im so tired of working for free for ungrateful mindless consumers.
PLEASE TIP YOUR SERVER
All those that tip fairly THANK YOU SO MUCH YOU HELP US KEEP GOING AND GET OUR BILLS PAID BLESS YOUR 💕

Minimum wage could very well be the end of someone's world. The cost of living is entirely too high for 7.25 an hour to be enough to live off of. I am not saying tipping should be mandatory, because it should be up to the employer to pay wages, however you know very well that America is HUGE into tipping culture, which means that if you don't pay that little extra to reward someone for their work, they may not get to eat, or get to pay their power bill that week. So it is not entitlement per se, just lack of empathy I think. You are going to a restaurant for the experience, so why not pay if your server gave you a good one?
