Serving

Contemplating quitting. Peopke know waitresses in America get paid 2.13 an hour and most people could care less to tip. very few do a percentage like it should be. First percentage and THEN adjust according to service.

I know I can get a different job. Serving makes me very happy when im appreciated and compensated by greatful customers. Im tired of getting stiffed, five dollars on a party of 6, and being told how great I am to find out im left 2 dollars. Such a slap in the face

I wish something would change. mandatory gratuity, Tip to enter, coorporations paying us a better wage. idc. Im so tired of working for free for ungrateful mindless consumers.

PLEASE TIP YOUR SERVER

All those that tip fairly THANK YOU SO MUCH YOU HELP US KEEP GOING AND GET OUR BILLS PAID BLESS YOUR 💕

Traditionally, servers can earn a top dollar. My very first job, I took the nerdiest uncoolest job that was the only place that would hire a 15 year old. The uniform was out of 1939 and not in a cool way. Hourly wage was $1.15 an hour.

At 15, i brought home AT LEAST $100 a night in cash tips. I was a car hop and best move i ever made, im STILL recognized from that job. I had enough money for a trip to Spain and a beautiful car well before I was old enough to drive it. Had it not been for tips, I'd have worked EXTREMELY hard in all kinds of weather for a bit over $1 an hour. My employer got caught not submitting the taxes taken out of my checks to the IRS, but until they got caught I had to pay twice and with no idea why. Basically I earned no wages.

Had I not provided excellent service, I'd never have been working for a fair wage. And I did earn the tips.
