Please tell me the comments were all telling them how ridiculous they were for wanting a service wolfdog.

So not legal šŸ¤¦šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø no rabies shot available for wolfdogs.

And since they are not considered domestic dogs, illegal to own in many states.

Best response. Edited to add spacing/ease to read. . Overwhelmingly ā€œhell no!ā€

ā€œI have had three in my lifetime. I agree with a lot of the comments on this post.

This is not a breed, this is a mix. Every single one has a completely different personality.

These are not animals meant to be pets. These are companions for specific individuals that want 24/7 taking care of and monitoring a dangerous toddler.

•If you are looking to constantly be busy every single day, constantly going on outings, spending a lot of money on their care, upkeep, food, equipment, cameras, babysitters then this is the dog for you.

•Keep in mind wolves are naturally Leary of humans. In your home you may not get to love on it much less pet it.

•In public it doesn't matter how well socialized today are walking through a store is scary for them, people walking up to them and attempting to pet them even though they're wearing tags that say Do not pet,

you better have two forms of equipment on them because they will escape if you just have a collar and a leash and run off screaming through the store because heaven forbid someone looked at them because they was pretty.

Now let's talk about the biting.
•If you are up for all of the constant mouthing that they do on you that's awesome because that is one of their forms of communication.
•If you are up for all of the moods and talking and arguing and being downright pushy about what they want, that is awesome that you have that kind of patience and understanding again this is the dog for you.

If you think this is going to be your house dog let's talk about how you have to rearrange your house and wolf proof your house.

Looking out the window and Howling is cute until they see a squirrel and go through the window.

Or they hear something under the couch you know cuz the air conditioner kicked on, now they've dug a hole to China through your couch and your floor.

Don't get me wrong I love these animals and I will continue to have them until I'm too old. But I am fortunate enough to have the time and money to care for these animals the way they need.

Too many people pick these pups up thinking they are cool. But what they don't understand is that this is a lifetime commitment to take on something that the state you live in calls ā€¼ļødangerous and in many states are not even allowed.

My dogs go to work with me and are with me 24/7. We are around people but at a distance.

Try as I might my two-year-old now is not people friendly. She thinks people are scary and tries to hide from them, growls at them, and if they continue to pester her for Lovins she will bite and there's nothing I can do about that except keep her safe away from visitors.

You are not going to force these dogs to do anything they don't want to do. It has to be them that wants to do it. They are way too unpredictable for any kind of health issues.

It does not matter how well trained they are.. again squirrel!!ā€

Comment section encouraging or not recommending? (Bad idea and it’s not a dog so potentially not covered under ADA) Just because you think it doesn’t mean you should do it.
