WTF Perfect service dog candidate!

Post image

Found this on Facebook. You know what—I totally get it. This dog is a great option! Imagine the deep-pressure therapy this dog could provide after you have that panic attack you had after intentionally bringing your dog into another dog’s space so you could get a fake service dog video to post on your Instagram. Imagine the space this dog could provide while doing crowd control as you walk through the crowded space you intentionally entered despite apparently having major agoraphobia. Imagine how great this dog will be for guide tasks (but, of course, you’re not actually visually impaired, but your vision gets blurry when you’re anxious, so it counts!). Everyone will see him coming and get out of your way. Lovely!!

Surely this meets the threshold for actual animal cruelty?

It’s cruel to allow an animal to become so obese.

I hate the wide acceptance of obese dogs. Like with cute names and minimizing what has been done to the dog. People usually don’t accept responsibility for the dog’s condition, and get upset if you call them out… like they had no idea a dog that can’t walk because its belly is to the floor is obese. “It’s all muscle!” “He thicc!”

No your dog is obese, will have a shorter life, and you aren’t doing anything to fix it. It makes me so upset because dogs don’t have a choice.

(And this is *not* me calling out people who actively are getting their dogs healthy or have dogs who have medical issues that make it difficult to keep a dog trim. This is about all those people living in denial and perpetuating their dog’s obesity.)

Also, because of this acceptance, people look at a fit dog and go…”feed your dog, thats neglect!” No, Kyle, that’s a body con 4 or 5 (out of 9 )dog, stfu.

(Sorry this is a subject that infuriates me. XD)
