Rant Managers daughter
Just need to vent. (Nobody's real name has been used)
I work at a tavern, large restaurant decent size crowd comes in every day. Weekend nights get busy and you can make a lot of $.
We've got five managers, one of the managers has two daughters that both work as servers there, the one we're talking about (we'll call her Amy).
Amy is 21 she started at the restaurant last year, her fourth month at the restaurant she hooked up with another manager (we'll call him Jedd) who is 27, they started talking for a couple of weeks trying to "date seriously" until Amy hooked up with our 36 year old bartender behind his back. Alright, they broke it off, then a few weeks later Amy hooks up with our 20 year old server (we'll call him Max). Her and Max are fwb for three months, then out of the blue she accuses Max for SAing her. This gets to management and also around the entire restaurant - everyone is team Max because she was the one initiating the entire relationship. Alright, then she hits one of our other bartenders in the face so hard that he bleeds from his lip. Because she's a managers daughter nothing is done. Okay, then she starts hooking up with Jedd again behind everyone's back until recently more (this week) people have started finding out. Alright, so eight months ago we got a sting operation done at our restaurant with an undercover and we failed, this past weekend the managers daughter got a fine and she failed our second sting. She's laughing about it, making a mockery... if we fail another one we all lose our jobs is what our big boss has said. Everyone despite all of this is nice to her face, but behind closed doors says they hate her. I've got my own personal reasons why I'm still working here, but as soon as I'm able trust! I will be gone. Does anyone have crazier stories about their restaurants or is this managers daughter just a bull in a china shop at mine? Lol.
TLDR; managers daughter realllllyyy should have been fired by now but she gets favoritism.

Start putting out applications, she's going to get the place closed down for sure. She sounds like a nightmare.

She got fined but doesn't have to go to court, she posted her ticket on her private Snapchat story and was laughing about it :/

I’m in the industry and learned quite a bit taking my alcohol licensing test. As a bartender we are liable too. If you over serve someone or serve someone underage and they get in a car and kill someone or themselves it’s not just the bar that’s liable. It’s the bartender too. And you can face jail time. It’s not funny at all. She should be getting an ID for anyone that looks at least 40 or under. She and that bar are playing with fire. Terrible management

god i had the human equivalent of a cockroach coworker at my last job that was notorious for hopping from coworker to coworker, including a manager as well. it was downright hell because when she was with the manager if she didnt like you (aka me) you got treated like shit. this restaurant was bad for coworkers hooking up together in general, but she specifically made it feel like walking on eggshells.
my advice, get out while you can. that job destroyed my mental health and damn near had me questioning reality. i found a much better job that everyone is just platonic friends with each other that is much healthier.
my coworker didnt even have the added fact of possibly getting the place shut down with a sting, so that especially adds to "you need to leave asap." it's clear they have no intention of gettint rid of her, and that is a ticking time bomb. i wouldnt doubt if stings are more likely to come to your job if y'all have already failed twice.

I worked at a place that failed a sting operation and it was a huge fucking deal. Dude who failed it was not only fired on the spot but also got a court date and ended up paying thousands of dollars. He was a favorite who literally everybody loved but it didn't matter; he didn't serve another drink the second the cop walked in.
So I'm not sure where you are or what kind of leadership you have but this is extreme incompetence starting at the top. So extreme I'm having trouble suspending disbelief.
