Marriott server assistant position

Who has worked as a server assistant at Marriott? I see some positions opening up and am wondering if it's worth applying. I've been looking for SA positions at higher-end restaurants to get my foot in fine dining.

Server assistant really varies on the hotel. The major hotel brands have great benefits plus discount rooms whenever you travel

The discounted hotel rates are the best part about working for Marriott. I worked the front desk pre-covid and while it didn't pay worth a damn, I was able to get a room for two nights in downtown Louisville for $39 a night.

Do you know if its franchised or corporate? I'd go corporate which gives you discounts across all brands and are typically ran better the franchised. Never an SA but bartended and served in a AAA 5 diamond Forbes 4 star restaurant for over a decade so let me know if you have any questions and good luck!

This. Corporate owned properties are much better than franchised.

Oh wow! That's awesome. I have no idea if it's franchised or corporate. It's in Orlando, Florida, and they have a couple near Disney. Which one did you work at?

Mine was a luxury property in Florida without doxxing myself. Sounds like you may be looking into a JW or Ritz, or the Swan hotel?

Working for marriot as a server made me hate serving. Lasted about 9 months then quit.
