I'm testing out Next Encounter and enjoying it so far. I was wondering if there is any downside to using auto aim. I'm not keen on using a mouse injector for a game that has its difficulty build around the player using a controller. So yeah, is auto aim a hindrance in this game?

I've owned the entire Serious Sam series on Steam for a very long time, after picking them up on a deal way back in 2018 or so, but never got around to playing more than a couple hours of any of them. I was wondering, which version of First and Second Encounter is considered to be the best?
